Array

These tools enable a designer to quickly chop and modify existing instance arrays. The modifying region can be defined by a rectangle, polygon, or another shape.

Bus Routing

The bus routing tools are one of the largest groups in SkillCad, since bus creation and modification is one of the most time- consuming tasks in custom layout design.

Calculation and Measurement

This is a group of tools that facilitate and simplify common measuring tasks, such as distance, area, and perimeter measurements.

Connecting Metal To Devices

This is a set of tools for easily connecting metal to multi-contact MOS devices. Tools are included to connect:Sources and/or drains to backbone metal.

Density Check

The density checking tools facilitate the measurement of specified layer densities in a defined region. The regions can be defined by: Polygons, Rectangles, Coordinates, Selected regions.

Device Placement

These tools simplify the tedious tasks of placing and modifying the placements of matched devices arrays.

Metal Path and Path Segment

The metal path and path segment (wire) tools are designed to simplify and automate the creation and connection of single metal routes.

Metal Coloring

This is a collection of tools to simplify the generation of complementary metal routes, used to maximize routing area utilization in advanced, sub-micron processes.

Multi-part Path and Guardring

The multi-part path tools simplify and automate the creation of paths and rings containing multiple layers joined by contacts and/or metal vias.

Net

The net tools simplify the selection and highlighting of metal nets, through all levels of hierarchy.

The pin tools simplify and automate time-consuming layout processes such as: Aligning pins to a Boundary.

Shape Handling
